I love riding SF Financial District...

... but not parking! Yesterday I stopped for coffee and not five minutes in I see some pathetic wino with a wrench disconnecting my seat post.... Chased him off, stopped at Huckleberry to buy a wee lock for the seat... Park at Moscone to meet another friend, look outside to see another homeless looking dude examining the lock for a long while before shambling away.... Oy

OK I was going to bike up from Stanford up to that area of SF and park outside to meet friends, but I'll be sure to find indoor parking somehow if I do it...

Parking garages. I think the SFBC has a site with a map of garages with bike parking. When I had a class up there, there was a rack in the garage at my building.

Didn't stop me from checking in on it at lunch time every day, though.

Really? I see a fair number of C&V bikes locked up on the street, no one seems to mess with them. Maybe your "pathetic wino" was an out of work bike fitter who objected to your saddle height...
