I plan on taking Amtrak from Portland to Centralia, take 2 days to get to Cle Elum, then after the festivities continue on back home via Yakima and points south.

The day of riding and hanging out sounds great, but travel from LA seems over the top. For now it stays on the bucket list.

Old, slow trike rider here; probably won't attempt to keep up on any of the rides however, I live in Cle Elum and have ridden most of the paved roads in the area. I'd be glad to try to answer questions anyone may have.
