Seattle Forrest

I parked at (well, near) the Mailbox Peak trailhead and followed the road to its end. At this point, the road to Otter Falls was too rough for my bike so I took the one to the Dutch Miller Gap, Dingford Creek, and Goldmeir Hot Springs trailheads. I got a flat on the way back and wasn't able to fix it, which was a new problem for me. Wound up gratefully accepting a ride back to my car from a trail runner.

Cool, that's an area I would really like to explore. I remember being at the top of Mailbox Peak and looking out into that huge undeveloped valley and thinking we need to check it out. Last summer my son and I attempted it on my Ducati, and needless to say we didn't get very far before we determined that we were not on the right bike for the road.
