Salem, Oregon. Still getting my bike put together. Rode around for thousands of miles on an old Raleigh Grand Prix I purchased at a lawnmower/chainsaw/bicycle shop in 73. Probably still be riding it except someone didn't see me when they decided to make a left turn. The silver lining around the storm cloud - now I finally get to put my dream bike together.

Hi everyone, New in the forum but bike a lot when I was young. Now that I'm old, had to start in getting back in shape. Here's the trail that I ride my bike everytime I had a chance.

Thats one of my favorite trails the scenery is awesome. Have you tried any other rides up in Snohomish?

Except for Burke-Gilman trail, no I have not. Is there any other trail except the one next to sewage pond or snohomish river.

Arlington here. Nice to see some other Puget Sounders. Do most of my riding in Bellingham at Galbraith Mtn. If you haven't been I highly recommend it.
It was two days after I arrived from Sydney OZ. Had a great time even though at the end of the day I was totaly whacked,I think it might have been the jet lag. |

Ocean Shores
I looked for the bike shop in Ocean Shores and noticed it was gone when I was there this past summer.
Ocean shores had a shop about 10 years ago. I pedaled so hard going through the sand dunes to the beach I bent the rear wheel on my mountain bike. I was pulling my daughter in a bike trailer behind me at the time. I purchased replacement wheel at the bike shop and it lasted the remaining life to the bicycle ~ I retired the bike about 2 years ago. |

I got one of these:
http://www.backcountry.com/store/PAT...cket-Mens.html And a pair of these: http://www.backcountry.com/store/PAT...D=PWAG_PAT0295 Of course, being cheap as dirt I found the killer deal on discontinued size/color combo's: a blue jacket and "juniper" (a light green) pants. $90 for both, with free shipping. I LOVE THEM! Cut big enough for layering, light enough to pack, and they literally repel water in any form. The hood of the jacket fits over my helmet. With fenders on the Fuji, I'm good to go, and I've finally convinced my wife that I'm completely insane:D |
Been roaming the other boards a bit. First visit in the regional. Boise now (bought a house!), Seattle (Cap Hill) last year. Wife loves Portland, so that's probably next.
