oregon ride

So i live in seattle and am getting tierd of some of the sponsored rides here. Looking to do something in Oregon possibly on a Saturday this upcoming summer. Soooo, for those of you who live in oregon, what would you recommend for really nice sponsored rides. Here in seattle i think one of the nicer ones we have done is the daffodil classic.

Here's a good list for all of the PNW https://www.mvbc.com/nwrides.html

The first event ride of the season in Oregon is the Monster Cookie ride, always fun, sometimes wet.

Nice list Shifty. Perhaps they should re-title it "Northwest Rides and Then Some". Unless Davis, Sacramento and Hayfork,CA have all been made honorary parts of the PNW. Since I saw my first huge clearcuts just outside of Hayfork thirty-some-odd years ago it clearly qualifies.

Well, if this comes true: https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/2010/1312/ then California is going to wash into the Pacific anyway. (FWIW: one of the authors cited is Chris Wills. He ain't heavy, he's my brother.)

Interesting article Jeff, so much our government does that gets little recognition, but is so important. They say the total damage of an ARkStorm would be $700 billion dollars, yikes! That's what we spend each year on the military budget, I guess we can use some of that to help people after a storm....yeah, I guess not.

Just what I always wanted, oceanfront property in Coulterville, CA.
I hope the scenario never comes to pass.

It probably won't- it's a "worst case scenario". On the other hand, the Discovery Channel broadcast an episode of "Perfect Disaster" featuring a hurricane hitting New Orleans... 8 months before Katrina hit. The effects of Katrina were worse than those predicted in the show.

If your still checking. The mid valley rides, Strawberry, Peach, Monster, are really fun and well provided for.

I also love that they give you ice cream at the end of it, which could just be a bribe

Also- not quite Oregon, but close enough to get a lot of Portland riders: https://www.vbc-usa.com/racc . It's a great early-season century.

I second the RACC. It's a beautiful, well-supported very hilly ride!

Here's another - Blazing Pedals, May 21st. This is the Maupin area, 20, 40, 60 and 80 mile loops on rural and Forest Service paved roads. You can see the route maps at JuniperFlatRFPD.com.

Check out the Alpine Century as well, mid August. A great loop, and a very nice change from the flatter farm roads in the mid-Willamette valley that so many rides use. For the OP, I'm from OR, but now in Seattle as well. I thought the Alpine ride was worth driving down for. The Strawberry century is a nice loop as well, but typically the same day as Flying Wheels. Way fewer riders though, and not as much car traffic.
