good bike shop for first bike - Seattle, Edmonds, WA area.
Hello everybody,
I am in the market to buy my first hybrid bike and since I don't want to put down a huge amount on a new bike (i don't know yet if i am into bikes coz i also have 2 motorcycles
) so was wondering, what LBS you experts suggest where i can find good used bikes which are not a ripoff![Frown](https://www.bikeforums.net/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Thanks in advance.

My personal thought is that used bikes at places like Recycled Cycles in the U district are pretty expensive.
If you can't find anything on craig's list, then get a new bike at Performance Bike- it is near Alderwood mall. www.performancebike.com
Harvey's on Hwy 99 at about 200th, has some cheap bikes, but the services is really poor IMO.
A step up in service from performance bike can be found at places like Bicycles West (HWY 99 and about 180th, near Bent Bike), Gregg's Lynnwood Cycles and Bicycle Centre in Everett. These guys are all high volume and should probably have some last year's model blow outs.
The smaller, more niche, bike shops probably don't deal enough in Hybrids to have any huge sales.

You might check out 20/20 on Madison if you're thinking of going used. They have tons of used bikes of every sort. While I can't speak to their prices on bikes, repairs are reasonable, and they never seem to charge for little things that they can do in a couple minutes.
