Your sails look much nicer than the ones this guy owns. I still can't get over the absolute flogging of the Melges main in strong winds. It makes me cringe.

We were recorded on video pulling away from a Whaler that was going 21knots. We crashed hard seconds after they cut away... but the style points had already been awarded.

My white sails were 3 seasons old in that shot. Antiques in Melgi terms. We got new spins every year from my wife's work (note the small logo).

I have a giant friend trying to unload a TT bike. Maybe I should put it up here.

Melgi in 20+ are a hoot off the wind. The pain of going upwind when it's honking is almost worth it.

Hey Herbie, it looks like you have way to much weight forward in the pic with the kite up. Just for fun critique
. (Like I know know anything about Melges sailing)

For planing conditions yes, everybody should be piled up in the back corner. We were not planing.. just surfing some.

Maybe I'm just large then. I'm 5'11.5-6'0 depending on the gravitational pull of the moon. I ride 57. I've never considered myself a "large" in terms of height. I have a 33 inseam.

I have ridden a 56 TCR before though; it felt like it fit perfectly. If you dropped that to a 53 I imagine it would be way too small.
