those peacocks freak me out. i don't know why. i never knew i had a fear of peacocks. i wonder if it is related to a school trip when i was 6 or 7 to a castle where peacocks roamed around the grounds.

do you have boxing day sales like black friday sales? i want to go to get some crap at the supermarket...they have a lot of chocolates and alcohol on big discounts for christmas so i thought i could get a load of it because throughout the year you'll always need to give meaningless gifts like that. unfortunately if all the sales shoppers are out, i don't want to be out there. they are idiots who would trample anyone.

There are a pair of real live peacocks on one of my routes.

There are tons of them here. When I first went off to college, my mom had a neighborhood one that was like her pet. That thing was mean as a rattlesnake, but it loved her. It had real long claws and would scratch up the cars and would squeal like a demon if you looked at it. But then it would come and sit next to my mom and eat from her hand. Stupid thing.

so they are mean animals? they are like swans. really mean mofos.

... and geese. My dad was once attacked by geese.
I avoid them, and curse them when they leave lots of crap all over the soccer fields in fall.

I wish I had been cycling when we had Bearfoot in the City. It would have been an adventure to ride around and take pictures of all the bears. It wouldn't have been bad for cycling, except for the one at the airport. That would have taken some planning because the highway that crosses the river and goes down there is not a cycling kind of road.
