Lol well I'm owning my HS waist size. I think I was 42 back then. 30/31 now.

I don't want to be my HS waist size, 28. I'm good at 30. I was 32-33 for a couple of years.

My HS waist has increased by maybe 1" in 10 years. And it's been one of the biggest struggles I've dealt with. I think I was probably +2" for a year.

You will have knee problems for the rest of your life. Something to look forward to.

This is the modern waist - where I wear my pants. It is well below my bellybutton. My pants don't stay up there. People are built differently. Last I checked I was a comfortable 160#. I've been 145# and that was gaunt.

BLR or Jen, have either of you done the Turtle tri on Jekyll Island (I forget the actual name)? I love riding around that Island when I visit in July and I would expect that it would be a good place.

I've done the one where you swim from Jekyll to St. Simons. It was really nice.

1.25 miles. However, the current is behind you and you can almost float the whole thing.

Now that sounds like a fun way to do a swim. I have looked all over the GA multi sport website for this years turtle crawl tri; looks like with the construction on the island that are not doing it this year.

There is a store here that carries an extensive selection. The staff, however they do it, take measurements or something of your foot, and then they guide you to a narrowed selection of the only shoes you should wear to run in. I've heard nothing but great things about it. I imagine this is similar to what you're talking about.

This was the island to island. The swim is HIM distance, but the bike and run legs are much shorter than HIM.

Yeah, but let's say of the two Velos... he'd prefer Vol... if you know what I mean. (NTTAWWT).
