There is truly nothing to get stressed about. I'm a bit of a stress test veteran. The treadmill is like a walk in the park without the park. This will be a breeze. You walk on a treadmill while they slowly increase the rate and slope.

If they find anything, it can be treated and probably relatively easily.

Let us know how it goes. I always go the Spanish deli across the street afterward for my lunch/reward. I stay on my diet, and enjoy the food.

Just got back, and exactly as you described. Target HR was 138 and got up to 160, which is just under my max of 163. I think my total treadmill time was about 10 minutes.

No "results," but something should be posted to my online chart later today and my primary doc will contact me in a few days. Now, I need to go shovel snow, which will probably be harder than the stress test.

Just got my report:

Normal Sinus Rhythm
Right Bundle Branch block

Summary
1. Normal exercise stress echocardiogram. No inducible ischemia was identified at the achieved
workload.
2. Exercise capacity is excellent for age.
3. There was no chest pain noted during exercise.
4. There were no ischemic EKG changes noted.
5. Overall low risk study based on Duke score.
6. There is no comparison study available.

I understand the risks of "Dr. Google," but from what I understand, not too bad. I will wait to hear from my primary doc, but I guess life goes on.

Oh my, that sounds dangerous! People die every year shoveling snow!

Glad your report came back good!

A few interesting observations:

On the right side of the BF there are ad displays. Mine just now was for funeral planning services.

When I got near the end of the test, the tech asked if I was sure that I wanted to keep going. Heck, going up a big hill you have no choice, or you fall over. Or you get dropped off the back of the group. It was like that, just before I get dropped.

OK, the ad changed. Now it's for AARP.

I would be curious to do a stress test. Since I started doing yoga in the mornings, I think I became much calmer than before. I also made some research on online pharmacy website and it looks like there are different types of meds for people who can't deal with the stress themselves. I honestly think that modern technologies brought much more stress and worries to our lives and it was a little simpler before. We used to communicate with each other and now we just stare at our devices most of the time.

Lex, it's for cardiac stress, not mental stress.

BTW, I did another stress test yesterday-40 hilly and windy miles. I am still here, so I guess it went ok.
