The stay ends are open so no moisture collects inside, bottle bosses have a brazed in tube for the same reason. Not sure on the RD mounting rational but it seems to work...

For me, it was simply a matter of disassembling...

For me, it was simply a matter of disassembling the mechs as shown below, then swapping the bodies over to their new respective cages and pivot bolts, and finally reassembling. No challenges here....

Test fit on an ISO spindle. If the arm sits too far out on the taper, it's likely the old-style Ofmega taper. There should only be 3-4mm between the end of the spindle and the base of the extractor...
