Joe Biden Ruins National Championship
The Irish Nationals, anyway. Because Joe's gonna be staying at the Ambassador's Residence in the Phoenix Park, the whole park has to be closed down. The Chamos were due to be held there the same weekend, but the host club, Orwell Wheelers, have had to switch venues at short notice to County Wicklow. So instead of a city centre course, easily accessible, with a guaranteed large crowd, the races will take place out in the countryside, and be watched by a few sheep.
I like Joe in general, but this is a step too far.

I used to work near the St. Louis airport. Presidential visits to the city were always a huge disruption.
So much for a tour of the country if they insist it be devoid of people.
Perhaps they could work out a schedule. Bicycles 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
VP stuff 7:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

Yeah, 12 hours on, 12 off would be a good solution, you'd think, especially since he's gonna be on the other side of the country during the day, but it's a big park and I guess they don't want to have to clear it all over again in the evening when he comes "home". It's a crazy level of security, though, to shut down a 1,750 acre park while he's in town.

Maybe tell everyone he's staying in the mansion, and check him in to the Hilton?

Do you believe that the VPOTUS actually plans and/or manages his own visit arrangements?
