Vino's victory in the second stage of the Alps was a sour one. He was considered a podium contender until after the first mountain stage where he had a real bad day. At one point on a climb the peloton almost bridged the gap but let go Botero and Vino because I suspect that Disco clearly wanted to tire out Vino and soften him for the latter stages. Vino did get a win, but it was more out of pride for dropping out of podium contention.
