Rob Hatch

Maybe I’m late to the game…first time hearing him.

But this guy is good if not great at calling the race.

maybe the best I’ve ever heard.

Is he the heir apparent to the throne that old Phil sits on?

On the other hand I think he is awful. He engages on linguistic gymnastics vs calling the race and will often prattle on with nonsense when action is occurring that deserves to be covered. Watch enough of him and you will see what I mean.

Every time I hear Homain Bawday it’s like nails on a chalkboard, he isn’t Portuguese and in French you don’t pronounce the first r as an h.

Ant Mcrossan is an other one. Brian Smith, Robbie, Matt Stevens, heck even Carlton Kirby (with his junior high school humor) are all better.

I am having a hard time keeping up with how fast they are all talking. I wish they had subtitles.

I guess it’s like how I couldn’t stand Dick Vitale calling basketball games - love him or hate him.

Before the Giro, I only saw clips of Rob calling the final of the race/stage. I found him to be awesome at it.

Maybe they can ease him back a bit during the race and let him unleash at the end.

Wow my friend, I applaud you for your opinions however wrong they may be

Sure wish I could listen to McCrossan or Hatch on the Flobikes feed this Giro.

Bikes: Cross-Check/Nexus commuter. Several others for various forms of play.

Rob Hatch could have featured in this skit.

Sylvia Pojoli, too, for any UCI + NPR fans.

I still think he does a fine job. Yes, well..., they all have their quirks.

Back in the USA, I'm surprised by the number of people who want to assassinate Joe Buck.

Yup. I'd rather listen to Carlton, than Hatch's over-the-top hyper commentary. There was a Eurosport commenter 15 years or so ago who was really good. Forgot his name, but he stopped covering races.
