Moreau may have gotten mention, especially in France. But, no one gets more mention than Lance. He is a marketing machine, and he backs it all up on his bicycle. He is a bad man, and you know it, Mr. Rader.

lance has done a lot for cancer research and cancer victims and i respect him for that. my wife ran a marathon last year for a friend of ours who died of cancer and she raised more than five grand for the leukemia, lymphoma society.

this year some BF members also donated $ to the same cause as my wife trained for the ironman. so i am famiiar with and have contributed to the cause.

so in that respect i think lance is great. and i don't think he's a "bad" person.

let's just talk about the race and how he has bullied his way onto team astana and has attempted to usurp the mantle of leadership from alberto contador .... when he IS NOT CAPABLE of winning the tour.

if he wanted to join the team as an actual contributing member, like he claimed originally, that would have been fine but lance and bruyneel have been talking out of both sides of their mouths. and i won't even get into the interviews, facial expressions and tweets.

i hope alberto contador storms up ventoux tomorrow for the stage win and if lance is capable of taking the third slot on the podium good for him but you won't see me crying if he drops to fifth or sixth place.

By bad, I meant it in the slang way, not bad/terrible.

I guess he didn't do anything to help in the TTT, which appears to be one of the more important stages of this years race. I guess as they wandered up the hills, Contador riding behind him didn't help either, as the team was setting tempo. Not saying Lance Armstrong did everything, but he sure didn't do nothing, either.

Even if you were anywhere near right with your reading between the tweets, you are still obsessing over this situation WAY too much.

It's unhealthy.

it's also a moot point. now that they've had their arses handed to them there'll be no more innuendo and tweets.

time to switch to the other side of the mouth and take credit for contador's success .

There's a lot of hatin' going on in this thread.

Is there anyone in professional cycling who isn't universally reviled by half the members here?

I like to watch the bike races. With out the great riders, there would be no races. Without the cool bikes, there would be no races. I thought it was cool when a Ridley was involved in a stage win last weekend. So, I like them all. Some more than others, but there is no hate towards any of them.

wtf?
dude if you can't handle the heat log off. all the race forums are like this now. if you can't participate without making it personal that's just not my fault and i really don't want to hear it.

if it weren't me getting to you it would be someone else.

aren't you one of the guys who thinks contador should "slow down" and help his domestiques get higher placings?

am i to take you seriously ?

Yep. Sadly, this will all end, and it will be back to normal after this weekend. Course, I will still be out riding my bike, so that part won't change.

But, I will forever be......
