Heck it isn't that far fetched for Lance to win.

Contador drops everyone by a couple of minutes except Frank and Andy who are less than a minute back on the next to last climb of a killer stage. On hte decent those 2 catch him just as all 3 hit a slick spot on the road. They go down and are OK at that point. But a chase group of 7 more riders plow into them as they are regaining their feet. Only 3 of those 10 riders are able to finish the stage and all three who do get caught by several riders. Lance is 5 minutes back and unhurt. He still loses minutes on the climb, but not to any riders who can TT to save their lives.

Don't laugh this is based on a true and famous incident.

Does anyone else besides me think that Lance is worried that he won't be able to carry out his PED program during this TDF due to higher security. And that the risk's of him getting caught are too high. With the information from Landis do you think that French police will consider 24/7 observation of Armstrong. In an attempt to catch him doping. They might be motivated to put a couple of private eyes on him during the whole race.

Not at all. All it would take is a little bad luck for Contador or the Schlecks.

I just think it's too much risk that hed be cheating now. He can lose and still "win", so why risk it? His diminished performance can be put off to age and the injuries of the season, etc.

Im not getting into what he did in the past, but this season right now, I honestly believe he isnt cheating.

Pretty offtopic, but I found it by coincidence and thought maybe it's interesting for some people here:
A Vanity Fair/60 Minutes poll that asked among other totally non-cycling related questions:

Which comes closest to your opinion about recent allegations that Lance Armstrong took PERFORMANCE-ENHANCING DRUGS?
Probably a bum rap 44%
Probably true 35%
Don't know 21%
35% strikes me as a rather high number in a poll taken form the general population of the USA, so if nothing else I'm guessing Armstrong's image did take a hit.
