Unbelievable!! It just keeps going! I feel like a part of this sport has collapsed into a weird sort of real life People magazine (not that I read that garbage )

Oh yeah! A modern day soap opera!

They should put those two in a cage and let them duke it out bare-knuckle. Have a feeling that LA would disqualified for something dirty, like biting balls.

Been to that over-rated restaurant years ago. I wouldn't tip for bad service either. Is that grounds for banning someone from the restaurant? Anyway, the owner is going to get busted.

I guess the owner did not remember that the credit card receipt shows the tip portion on the bottom of the receipt. Then, what is she gonna say? That she banned Tyler for being a disturbance? She already said it was a non-event. Oops. What a clusterf- situation she has gotten herself into. The truth is always the better path than lying. And it does Sound like it is the owner of the restaurant who is lying. She is admittedly a friend of Armstrong's. And it was likely that she tipped Armstrong off that Tyler's group, including Outside magazine staffers, prolly had reservations there.

And this just in from the NY Times courtesy of Cyclingnews.com:

FBI set to scrutinise Armstrong-Hamilton altercation

The New York Times has reported that the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has asked for video surveillance footage from the Cache Cache restaurant in Aspen, Colorado, with a view of determining the precise details of a altercation between Lance Armstrong and Tyler Hamilton.
The reported exchange took place at the weekend when the two former teammates dined with separate parties at the same restaurant. ESPN reported that Lance Armstrong threatened to make Tyler Hamilton’s life a “living hell” in the law courts. Hamilton’s lawyers, who alleged the ‘aggressive contact’ at the impromptu meeting, reported the incident to federal authorities who will decide if it constitutes ‘witness tampering’.

Here's the link to the complete piece:

LA is nothing but a bully with a capital B. I have often read that the image he has in the public is absolutely nothing like the hardass bully he really is.

I hope the Feds get to the bottom of this.

In this day and age, I'm surprised that no one has come forth with cell phone video of the incident.

But they would just be two skinny dudes that the non-cycling public would not recognize outside of team kits.

So LA was sitting peacefully on a barstool enjoying a beverage when he was accosted by Hamilton and his twin? Whacked!

I'm pretty certain Armstrong is well known in Aspen, and Tyler's also fairly recognizeable, particularly in a town that is very outdoors/fitness oriented.

I wonder if we will every REALLY know what happened between these two that night. I am tempted to believe that LA accosted Hamilton and not the watered down version of events that the owner is putting out there but I don't really know sh**. I would love to have been a fly on the wall. Which makes me think, there were a lot of other people around, why are we not getting more first-hand accounts besides LA, TH and the owner? I suppose to anyone who does not care about professional cycling* or is not named Novitsky the incident was pretty meaningless.

*It is probably pretty meaningless even to some of these folks

My .2 cents is that Armstrong is good for the restaurant's publicity. People getting a glimpse of Armstrong or even an autograph. She's playing a PR game.

It appears that the owner of the restaurant, an admitted Armstrong friend, has lied for Armstrong. She has originally stated multiple times that her restaurant didn't have any security cameras pointing towards the bar/restaurant area. Now in recent interviews, she is saying that there are cameras, but that the cameras were not working. This in response to the Feds asking for the security tapes. What a liar. You know she destroyed the evidence.

I hope the Feds bust the marijuana plant they got running back there, assuming that the owner's support for all things "green" would lead the Feds to her backyard.
