Go to your local Trek dealer and get an FX model. They come in your size.

I just purchased a Trek 7.3 FX last week in the orange color. It is a great bike. Actually it's better than sex but don't tell my wife that.

Hi, I'll chime in because I was in the same boat last year. Injured my knee due to years of heavy weight training...weight was around 220. Anyway, Dr says no more leg workouts, get a bike, lose some weight...wound up with a specialized crossroads elite. Nice bike, but soon found myself wanting something a little more aggressive.

I looked at a bunch of different bikes and fell in love with:

I just talked to the local jamis dealer and the actual bike I fell in love with(an 05 model) is still sitting unsold and is $100 bucks cheaper than last year. Tempting.

Anyway, this is a little out of your price range so I would seriously recommend checking out this:

Of all the bikes I looked at I was really impressed with the Jamis offerings.

Good luck.

Steve
