I've been researching bike trailers for a few weeks now and am pretty close to decided on a Wike for our two boys, a big 13 month old and a 3.5 year old. I know many people seem to like the Chariots, as well as the Burleys, but the Wike seems to fold really easily and be virtually the same size (if not larger) as the others, and it's definitely more affordable.

Can anyone with experience with Wikes cheer me on in this decision? Or provide any other useful info? They seem great, but not having seen one in person it's hard to decide.

I think I have seen one. They look to be well thought out. I wish I had more personal experience with them to help you.

Did you type "Wike" into the search this forum function? It came up with some hits but not really alot of info about them. No negative comments.

Their prices are inline with the other "premium" trailers, so I don't see how it is more affordable.

They do appear to have decent support, in that you can order spare parts. An extra hitch is nice to have if you have more than one bike that could potentially pull the trailer. The one item they did not sell that I would recommend checking on, is replacement fabric. They sell replacement windows but not fabric. This can be an issue depending on much use your trailer gets.

Thanks for the reply. I pulled the trigger on a Wike Moonlight double this morning, will post my impressions once it arrives. Even with a few options (helmet relief cushions, padded straps, walking nosewheel) it came out to under $500 delivered, which is a good deal less than prices I was seeing for the Burley D'Light and Chariot Cougar 2. That said, I didn't shop those too hard because I really liked the Wike from the get-go... anyways, it should be fine

Update: took the Wike out last night for its first test run with my 3 year old son in tow. We went for nearly an hour, down by the beach... the trailer tows beautifully, very smooth, very quiet, very easy to handle. I have previous experience towing my 12ft. paddleboard down to the beach using a Paddleboy trailer, I found that the Wike was very similar. Good stuff! Today we are taking both boys out, I think we'll be getting a lot of use out of this thing.

I was especially impressed by how well engineered the trailer is. It folds simply and easily, everything fits together well, and it's just clearly a very professionally designed machine that's gone through plenty of design iteration. No complaints so far!

Another update: we are really enjoying the Wike. Have had it out two weekends in a row now, have about 50 miles on it, give or take. Have done rides with one and both kids, and overall it really tows nicely. Absolutely no complaints at all, it's easy to use, looks good, and my kids enjoy it.

The boys are comfortable enough to nap in it (even when together), but honestly are a little bit cramped, enough so that we are thinking to get another so each can have their own. Since the Wike is within 1" of the width of the other "big name" trailers on the market (Burley & Chariot were my main comparisons), I can't really fault the trailer's design... our kids are just big boys. Overall they do just fine though, and aside from some typical kid squabbling they both seem to really enjoy riding in the trailer.

The "trunk" of the Wike is plenty large for us to take our usual kiddie bag (food, fresh diapers, etc) along with an extra bag of toys and various other small items. There's quite a bit of storage in the trailer itself, between the underseat storage and the side pockets. Plenty of space for blankets and similar as well. In short, we are able to carry all the same crap we usually do when taking the car, with the upside that we don't have to take the car

Anyways, "One Less Minivan" is our new motto

I though I would revive this thread since I just got our Wike Moonlite Double.

I also bought ours without seeing one in person. I was sold after looking at their website and seeing the video showing how the trailer folds up.

First impressions...

Solid construction
Easy to store
Smooth ride
Great storage options

The best part of having this trailer isn't the trailer either, it's my daughter asking for rides all the time.
