Cruiser picture thread
Recently bought a new bike for my bride on her birthday (I won't mention her age), she wanted a cruiser. This is a pic of the bike she picked out when we brought it home. The seat and bars have since been adjusted as the LBS's mechanic left something to be desired, notice the odd angle of the seat.
Thought I would start this thread here as I don't see an area dedicated to cruisers. Maybe the Moderators will see fit to add one as these are becoming very popular with the younger croud.
It's a Phat Cycles model named Aloha Mahalo.

It's very pretty! I'm partial to green, being my favorite color, but the more I look at that, the more I like it, especially with the flowers and white sections to keep things interesting. I might save that picture so when I get tired of the big scratch on mine I can paint it similar
Did the headlight come with it or is it purchased? If purchased, would you mind sharing information about it and how you like it at night? I'd love to have that kind.

Nice. I'm in the market for a cruiser for the wife. I just bought a new Felt Glassell (though a local dealer) for myself, it's supposed to be later this month. Can't wait.

The light was purchased at the same shop as an extra, can't remember the maker, I think Schwinn. It's battery operated as a dynamo with all the wiring involved would ruin the looks. As for light output, it's adequate but nothing to write home about, but it is a cruiser after all. It's not like she's going to outride the reach of the light any time soon, and it just fits the look of the bike so much better than a LED flashlight type.

Yep, I like the light too.
I just found out that my "hybrid" is listed on the Schwinn website as a cruiser. See?
I got mine at Target called a Gateway City. It is cream and brown.
Wal-Mart has only the ladies version so far called an Admiral in white with flashy red.
K-mart has it actually called a Wayfarer in white with pink. It makes me drool everytime I see it.
YOu can see pictures on photobucket by clicking my signature

I've got a 2007 Novara Mia. Fun to ride! https://www.rei.com/product/744789/no...ia-womens-bike
Unfortunately the funky crossbar makes it hard to mount a water bottle, but other than that it's golden.

Ooo goodie, I like Cruisers!!
Here's a curb find from several years ago. It's going to be a winter project someday.
I believe it was built in May of 1966.
The teardrop reflector got cracked somewhere along the way, but still looks pretty good.

Wow. I wish people would throw bikes out like that around here.
The last 5 bikes I've pulled from the trash were so bad off I couldn't have even made one bike out of all of them.
Nice old Schwinn tho.
