Phone mount

Hello all, new to the recumbent trike scene here. I picked up a used Trident Stowaway a couple weeks ago. Not a bad trike for this beginner, the price was right, or so I am told. After putting on nearly 100 miles in three days, I've come to the conclusion that i'd like to mount my phone on this thing...somewhere. Trouble is, there's not much of a choice as to where or how to mount it. I was thinking if there was some kind of extender tube that I could put down in the tube that hold the crank assembly, that could be an option. It also may require some drilling, which I have no problem with, so that the tube I'd use could be secured. I also thought some kind of "L" bracket and tube that would be attached to one of the tubes on the handle bars.
I've been looking on line for such items, and it seems there are either none, or I'm not wording my search criteria right. So, If anyone has any suggestions or links, I'd really appreciate the help and advice.

I have used some PVC conduit for fabricating tubing for different purposes on my trike. Once you have mounted, say, a vertical piece of tubing, you can attach a phone holder (many available from Amazon).
I started with a short length of irrigation pipe, which happened to fit into the stub of my mirror mount tube. I filled the end of the pipe with gorilla glue, let it set and put a cotter pin through it to secure it. Then I slid a piece of the 3/4

This is the conduit after sliding down over the irrigation pipe. I use this for holding cue cards for the bike tours I take, but its secure enough to hold a phone mount. The PVC has been sprayed to match the paint on my trike.

This is another method of a DIY mount for whatever you need. It's the same PVC conduit sprayed to match, and attached to the neck rest supports with zip ties. Once you get a tube secured, you can add various mounts for a Garmin or phone holder. Or you can probably get an aluminum attachment from Utah Trikes or some other outlets, but those items are not cheap.

SAKI is not a trike and the boom has a lot more rise than that of a Stowaway but if the o.p.'s eyes are good a phone would still be viewable mounted to it's boom. This is an old picture and that case was sized for an iPhone 5s. Phones are bigger now but some cases have kept up.

Bikes: too many sparkly Italians, some sweet Americans and a couple interesting Japanese

Why don't you like the Trident Stowaway phone mount shown on the Trident Trikes website, I use one of these on my trike (not a Trident) and it works great, easy to see and solid mount.

Trident accessory mount

You might consider this mount by Trident that costs $42 with shipping as a starting point . It mount on the derailleur post. If you live in an area where it rains a lot (unlike Vegas), mounting the phone away from the wheel is a much better choice as the wheels throw a lot of water. Fenders help a lot but my experience is that riding in the rain really sucks.
