Bacchetta Cafe or Rans Rocket?
I am 54,have owned a Bike E,and am primarily a runner.I have been thinking of either the Rans or the Bacchetta as the next bike.I ride in moderate traffic, primarily on residential streets, and just for fun.Any thoughts,or recumbents for sale in DFW?
Thanks

Check out the Bacchetta Giro's or Strada. You coming out to the HTH 100? There will be quite a few Bacchetta's there. Otherwise, go to https://www.bacchettabikes.com and post questions in the forums there, or goto https://www.bentrideronline.com which is the big benthead hangout on the net.

I have used and thoroughly enjoy the Cafe. It's hard for me to imagine what you get/need for twice the price. If I had the money, I'd get one.

Bought a Cafe 6 weeks ago. Hadn't ridden my DF for 15 years. Still hanging in my garage. Had to give up running (jogging really). Afraid to try the more expensive bikes, because I might want one right away, but the Cafe has been just great. Took a little while simply to get used to the tight steering of a bent. Love when people wave or kids get real interested.
For me, the Cafe seemed to be an easy learning curve compared to some of the stories I've heard about new bents on various forums. It's really been fun. WIsh I had bought it earlier in the season.
The main question remaining for me is how to pronounce Bacchetta. If you call them, they say "Bashetta", but the Italian pronunciation is actually "Backetta". Kind of like "Porsh" and "Porsha" for Porche.
Anyway, I'd recommend the Cafe.
