Lights

I'm interested in the opinion of anyone that has tried the Cygolite Dual Cross 200 or 300 light. Will it light up the road far enough ahead that out running its beam is not a concern? My rides are done early morning on rural roads, some of which have little to no lighting.

There are a variety of opinions on the Long Distance cycling forum under the thread "PBP lighting"
about various lites by heavy duty users. None will answer the question you posed but some of the suggestions may have value. A little further down the same page is a thread titled "long distance night riding" that has a lot of comment on lighting and runs to 55 responses.
