Hauling a Sun EZ Tri Classic
I'm buying a Sun EZ Tri Classic off Craigslist today. Hopefully, it will get my mother out and riding since she is scared to get on the cruiser I put together for her last year.
My biggest concern right now is hauling it. Anyone have experience with hauling one? Can I fit it into the back of an Escape or even possibly (with lots of bungees) on a rack?
I've asked the seller and he's unsure.

If I don't need to carry passengers I can fit my trike inside my car. I haul a 6' 7" long Catrike 700 on a standard rack off the back of my Scion XB. I can't hang it vertically but instead use two crosspieces on the bars for centering the front wheel and the rear wheels are on the roof. Your trike is one of the heavier trikes at 47 pounds which makes picking it up a bit difficult. Mine is 33 pounds and that is quite enough to handle for me. It isn't all that heavy, just bulky. It's really stable and I have had the car up to over 80 mph with the trike on top. The straps can be noisy but it is also possible to tie them in ways that keep them from vibrating to the point of annoyance.

Picked the Sun up last night.
Turned out to be almost brand new, as the guy who had it bought it for a class project (?? maybe the project was taking it apart and putting it back together - I'm going to have to reroute some cables and reinstall the front brake, but everything else is excellent) and never rode it.
Took it for a short ride. First time I've been on any recumbent, but I can say I get it now. My mom may not be getting this, unless I decide to upgrade.
