RANS Slingmesh seat failure - fixed!

Took the mesh/fabric seatback off the V3's Slingmesh 3+ weeks ago so that my wife could sew up a small area and found - lo and behold! - a joint on the left upper support of the frame almost completely cracked. Had no clue. Except that a number of months ago I had to tighten the support straps considerably and that there was some significant creaking quite a while ago. I thought it was the V-clamp.

Anyway, took the frame to the dealer who ordered the bike for me and - after about a 3 week delay - got a warranty replacement seat frame from RANS.
Put everything back together - got out for ten miles yesterday evening and twenty today. Feels great - more 'solid' than before, which shouldn't be surprising.
My V-Rex has served me well while awaiting seat resolution. I appreciate what a great bike the Rex is but the V3 is so much more fun for suburban/rural riding.

Any other Slingmesh frame failures? I hadn't heard of any.
