modding kids trikes

I was up at the scrap yard, er junk yard, today. I saw this kids trike.

I tried it for size. but Im 5 foot 8, 1.7metre. so too big.
I was wondering if anyones modded these type of things. stretch the frame to fit an adult.
I got a mtb frame and a hybrid wheel, at the scrap yard. they were £1.50. So I think the trike would be about £5. Dont think a welder would charge too much to stretch the frame

Bikes: BikeE AT,Worksman Trike w/kidseating, Cannondale Mt bike, Counterpoint presto project, vintage Columbia Trike project, projects galore

I had something similar to this for my son. I felt the rear steer made it take to much room to turn. I also wondered if it could be modded to be suitable for an adult and held to it in part for that reason. If you convert it into a rear drive/front steer adult trike that would be cool. Are the tires on the one you saw pneumatic or are they rigid plastic? Do you know who made it? Please post more pictures if you go back for it.
