So call me a madman....
Wouldnt it be amusing to strap glider wings and a pedal powered fan/prop on a trike ? Swap a gear and it engages the fan/propellor instead of the rear wheel. How unfeasibly insane am I ?

I think madman is a good description.
There have been trikes hooked up to hot air balloons (and blower fans?)...
Or this (but I don't think you could do the same with human only power and easily lift a person and a trike):

Human powered flight is hard enough without adding unnecessary dual-drive stuff. Now, attaching a trike to an I.C. powered ultra-light would be feasable...
