nothing, i'm just off, might be up for bikin or hangin
if not we should get together soon. i'm moving to 25th and taylor soon, so while not much closer, it will be a little bit

hey, alex, 25th and taylor southeast? sounds pretty decent.
man, i moved to columbus really fast. it was sort of fun, deciding one day that i was done in portland and being on the road two days later, but it didn't give me much of a chance to try and hang out with cats before leaving...how have you kids been doing?

I think restarting the Saturday night rides is a good idea....I know I'd have at least a few people coming with me each week now. Wanna do it?

I would say there should be a sat. night ride tonight but LIGHTNING BOLT trumps all y'all any day of the week. Not that I ever went to one anyways, but it would be fun to see who is actually on this board.

Hey Portland people! I'm moving in August, and your city is at the top of my list. If you don't mind, I have a few questions.
First of all, I'm not sure which portion of the city I should move to. The location would optimally be near the light rail, in a vibrant area filled with music venues, bars, microbrews, book stores, coffee shops, libraries, etc. It seems downtown or SE are the places for that; what are your feelings on those two areas?
Also, what's your impression of Lewis & Clark? I may be applying to their law school for environmental law.
Thanks!

I'd say stick to the east, relatively close in NE (alberta, mississippi streets, stuff like that) or SE (Hawthorne, Division). But to be honest every where you go except for the farther out places are going to have everything you're looking for

L&C is a good school. My gf is going there for law this fall. There environment law is #1 in the nation.
Also, the "light rail" aka the Max doesn't go into SE Portland proper.

To delicious: If you bike for transport then being close to the max is pretty pointless unless you have some weird, alien desire to go to the burbs (barf).

Hey! I also may be moving out there. I have a job interview with a pretty cool org, but I've never once been there. If yall don't mind may I ask:
--How much is a studio or 1BR?
--You can get by fine without a car, right? Is there a car share (zipcar, etc) type of program?
--Are there good roads for roadie-style riding?
--Is there a velodrome nearby?
--Is there good hiking/camping that I can hitchhike to?
--How much is a pint of microbrew at a friendly bar?
Etc etc etc. Thanks for tips!
