Regardless it was sweet to see Boston in the mix of all those NYC's at the top.

Even nicer to see ATL on the map finally. Two of the dudes in our crew got 52nd and 48th.

For both of them... it was the first time either of them had been north of Mason Dixon.

I'm not saying I didn't enjoy every second of it... and besides... I'm not actually sure if I got anything because I had to catch a bus before the awards actually happened.

Yo people. This is my first post here and I am pretty psyched. Friday night, I find that I am on the cover of Amy's book: New York Alleycats. I had the good fortune to be between Mike Dee and Ken (me wearing white helmet). Then I come in 14 in Monster Track!! Last year, I got 38 and the year before 33. Watch out for next year (not really, I could never win this race but maybe top 10). I even got sideswiped by a car on 5th Ave. near 17th heading to Morton but no harm, I just bounced around a little (I think off the mirror mostly) and kept going - there were many witnesses. Any helmet cams of that one?

Eric from Boston was with me the whole second manifest and really until the end (except for when I flaked getting on to the WillyB bike path, turning too soon and plowing through a bunch of snow while Eric zoomed by me on the road). I was glad for the company because there is always strength in numbers when you hit intersections. I also had some people with me on the first manifest when we cut across town from 61st thru Central Park at 65th over to 100 Amsterdam. Some good moves there.

Great job by the organizers and a nice ride all through and around mid-town.

luke it was great riding with you. lets do it again on your turf.

i had a lot of fun & am happy with how i did. quote from minutes before the race: "i don't really feel like racing today" -- so much for that.

While we were riding to pre-registration,we wound up following the kids from Atlanta. We ended up going to the wrong bar before we figured out that they weren't from the area.

Ha! So many people asked us for directions and we just made **** up... it was great.

When we were headed out to Goldsprints we were just following someone else... and you were following us. Brooklyn is a mess.

Monstertrack broke my spoke, and my confidence. And made me nearly lose a crank arm. I love you, Monstertrack. Next year, I will conquer you.

ahh, skingry... i lost track of how many times i drunkenly shouted "ATLANTA!!" at you dudes, but i'm sure it was well beyond an appropriate level. just know that i did it out of love and i'm really glad you all represented and had a good time.

stickyfoot, when did you break a spoke? shooooooot, i didn't know that. next time you're in brooklyn i'll be a better host.

Ok, I wasn't hearing things then... It sucked after the race we had to remain sober to be able to drive the 15 hours back to be at work on Monday. Next year, a full week off and I'm taking a damn plane.
