So is this an alleycat race then? How far does the race last? Is it open to just ss/fg bicycles?
Parsons...that's right next to where I live.

metricoclock - **** yes it will. definitely let me know if you need any housing or whatever.
mavimao - yep, it is. the race length will vary depending on your routes, but the race runs for 2hr. all types of bikes are welcome.

This will be good. Columbus is a great town to race in for anyone that hasn't been there yet... Assuming the weather is driveable and nothing catastrophic happens between now and then, my Civic and a couple of other fools from Pittsburgh are heading that way.

Holy **** dudes, we just built two of the bikes for our after party "cripple crank" race. I won't reveal the particular setups, but they are gnarly city and super fun to ride (especially after a few beers). Half-Impressive and Seagull Dan can vouch. God damn I'm stoked. By the eighth, I'll have just finished everything for my graduate school application, so I'm going to get ****ing crazy.

I know it's early, but I just checked the weather and they are calling for rain. Any type of back up plan in case the weather is bad? Truly hoping that it's not going to be bad though. Just curious.

It's gonna be a tough call. Latkes at grandma's house or the Bum Shuffle? Potato pancakes taste so good, but it's been a long time since I've ridden and/or raced through Columbus.
Maybe I can get off my ass, figure out a plan, and do both.

Mountains of free booze, meeting other dumb midwest kids, riding bikes, getting stupid. what's better, really? I'll tell you what -- get your ass out here and I'll make you some ****ing latkes. I'm sure they'll suck, but you'll also be hungover so it won't matter.

40 degrees and rainy is the forecast
worst biking weather possible? i guess its only a 30% chance though. snow'll probably be all gone.

usually when weather.com has a 30% chance it doesn't end up raining. the increase in temp in the next few days should clear up the snow, too, which will be jackpot. the roads right now aren't even bad. just a little wet.
