Since I know there are some chefs (I almost wrote chiefs) on here, I'm going to need to buy a new set of dishes and pots and pans. Dishes are just going to be basic white, but I'd like something better than beginner level pots and pans. Any suggestions with reasonable prices?

I am not a chef, but I do like to cook and I suggest you get the good stuff. I like Le crueset and all clad. You can get cheaper cast iron from lodge.
The prices will seem far from reasonable, but when you consider they're going to last 20 years (or more) they actually are.
I bought some mid range (~150/pot) meyer analon no-stick aluminum pans around 10 years ago and they're starting to wear out now... next time I'm going to stay away from no-stick no matter how tough they say it is.
In biking news, I'm loving this loop:

I have a set of PADERNO pots. Made in PEI. You can get them at Home Hardware and the Bay. They are wonderful pots and accessories.
I built trails at Albion today. It was really fun being the first time I have done serious trail maintenance. I will post some pics when I find them.

I trust that you know about the Waterfront Trail? I haven't done it, but the website has awesome route maps..

I've ridden the waterfront trail as far as belleville. Half way ish. I can only imagine it gets better as you go along!

Related to the above rim-pocalypse is the Craigslist ad for my Devinci Tosca frameset (which will hopefully finance a replacement wheelset). If you know anyone in the market, please forward this their way: https://toronto.en.craigslist.ca/tor/bik/1244362979.html

Not *quite* yet ... I'm trying to juggle selling the Tosca with getting a new wheelset via Cycle Solutions. If I'm still in a ham by this weekend I might need to ask around.
Edit: Intentially leaving "in a ham" typo for obvious comic gold reasons.

Aside from the rim-pwnage the freehub body's been giving me hassle since last winter (even after servicing it the FHB still sticks and the cranks never stop wanting to turn - makes for interesting CX remounts) and the front wheel took a direct hit from another cyclist (some bent spokes now in dubious condition). If you think it would still be worth it to have the FHB looked at again, replace some spokes and replace the rims I guess I'd be up for that plan. The hub bearings still feel smooth, at least?

I hadn't heard of or seen this until today---it is a bunch of short flicks shot in HD that follow the Cervélo TestTeam's first pro season. Neat stuff, maybe some of you know some of these guys/gals?

There's a precedent for that comment of mine and you know it. You, sir, have a track record! Also, please don't beat me. I'm very delicate.
