Questions for the artistic among you:

I'm putting some vinyl lettering on my single speed I'm building up.

1) I'm thinking of putting my 'team' name on the bike. But I'm not sure what team I should join. Options: a) Team Cripple b) Team One Leg or c) Cripple Bikes

Thoughts?

My dad only has the use of one arm and he always referred to himself as The Gimp so would "Team Gimp" work? I like the way it sounds...

It's a trap!

Just came across this on velonews, rolling resistance of various tires. Obviously not an exhaustive list.

Michelin PR2, ftw. https://www.velonews.com/tech/report/...s/12493.0.html

Rolling performance is 29w @ 110psi for the PR2 vs the hutchinson at the bottom of the list at 48w @ 110psi.

Roughly, the average rider power requirements on a course with a zero net elevation gain is broken down into 60% rider drag, 8% wheel drag, 8% frame drag, 12% rolling resistance .5% wheel inertia forces and 8% bike/rider inertia.

In summary, wheels account for almost 10% of the total power required to race your bike and the dominant factor in wheel performance is aerodynamics. Wheel mass is a second order effect (nearly 10 times less significant) and wheel inertia is a third order effect (nearly 100 times less significant).

No *****! What a great ride for him today. Vino also looked pretty impressive. The next few days in the mtns will be awesome. Maybe Leipheimer will actually do something instead of being nearly invisible. While I picked Vino to win at the start I will be cheering Contador on. What happened to Valverde? Maybe he had a little chicken bone in his breakie? Choke!!

Ha ha! Say hello to my new little friend (the one on the left).

A new acquisition from the junk shop down the street. I paid four times what he asked because due to my good nature I couldn't rip him off that badly...
