In other other news I can't get to used to how much play there is in my new Speedplay road pedals. When I stand up it feels like I'm slipping on the pedal. I don't feel that "connection" I felt when I tried out my friend's road shoes/Look pedals. It feels crappy. Any suggestions?

How true that comment is. When I moved into my place I could look out the window and watch the drug deals happen in the park across the street in broad daylight. My neighbour saw a dude scope out his Jetta, walk across the park and steal it all before my neighbour could get down to his driveway... now it's TOTALLY different. It's still annoying to listen to my other neighbour talk about paying $90K for his entire house

I had 3 hours of ****ing rad in the Don today.
This time I took a left back at the initial bridge after warming up on the river trail ... did some loops up and around there and eventually ended up at the sewage treatment plant. Had to call it a day at that point but it's been great exploring the area.
Edit: I very much like the bit ... how to describe ... you go left from the first bridge (after the tracks), up the erroded hill w/ all the gravel and it's the first trail off to the right. There are some easy/short ladder bridges and not-quite-Ravenshoe-bad rooty sections. Then it ends with a ridiculous 10' steep section covered in roots that made me jump off the bike everytime.

As I'd hope to run a team event of some sort...maybe the teams could be broken down to rider classes as yes indeed Matt there are some nasty peel-your-skin-off fast guys that make us look like punks. (more chances for glory) Hey...maybe a short course relay.....You'd make good enforcer/blocker. Dublin folks will be back loong before this thing hits the bricks.
Some imagination and this could be a blast!!!
secondary thought...to make it easy and quick.... who has a nice surface running track? The one on Bathurst is kinda evil, incl. busted glass, making for more realistic road surface..

I'd like to have hand in doing this East/West thingy, possibly in conjunction with a couple someones.

I was going to post my favorite "e-card" from this site, but I really couldn't narrow it down.

Hey Hey! It went well, I still don't have a final figure, but we know we got enough to send 2 to Dublin, if we scrapped up enough to send another we will! I believe since the volunteers all have day jobs that we'll be hooking up tonight to tally and arrange delivery of prizes for the winners that weren't at the draw. Mostly Toronto winners again, the internet only did about 10% of ticket sales it seems. Only one fellow in Dublin won a prize though it was a sweet white messenger bag. I'm as pleased as punch considering I'm on the hook for shipping charges. Just a package to Dublin that I'll piggyback on a messenger going that way, and probably a few local deliveries I can put on account There were ticket buyers in Australia, S. Korea, Japan and other places that would've cost me big money to ship to. I sorta wish a few more out-of-towners won, but they didn't buy near as many tickets. Besides, we're paying the way for next years race winners to come to Toronto as there won't be any need to send Toronto messengers anywhere
The big spenders were the winners again for the most part, Cavit8 won some stuff, another fellow who bought $100 worth of tickets did real well, 4 bells! Count em, 4! (and a bike computer & something else)
I'll be emailing winners when we get done tonight,

I'm likin' the idea of running it on a track somewhere in the city, as a team-ish event would be suicide on the streets. Wipeouts are cool and all but not with cars around. Imagine a train a of riders...TTT style. Lead out guys bustin' hump for the final sprinters.

Yeah, that Bathurst track would be cool if it weren't in such bad shape. I used to ride in circles there when I needed to blow off steam. Is there a track at that stadium on Bloor near UofT?

I think I could handle the enforcer role - I may or may not have pimp slapped a kid in the face last night for yelling at my lady and a friend of ours as we rode by. You hear me? PIMP SLAPPED!

Shiftless bum
I just sprayed coffee on my keyboard.
And if anyone's interested, I have a black 57cm c-t-c Bianchi Strada LX fork and frame for a minor consideration (i.e. beer). Short horizontal drop outs. Paints very good but has cable guides on the top tube etc. I also have a blue 53cm c-t-c Apollo Cobra (cast Sun tour dropouts) I may be willing to part with if the inamorata doesn't want it.
ps. And Mitch and I are both east enders as well

I suppose living in East York would make me an East Ender. Sad I missed the race, was at a stag and couldn't get away in time. I did win a raffle prize.

is there something in the water these days, or did someone put a pox on me? today going west on bloor at bay, a girl swung open the passenger side door to an suv in my path (TO THROW OUT GARBAGE AT THE TRASH BIN, NO LESS... talk about a trivial reason for nearly injuring someone). i scolded her, she got back in, and as i went around the back of the car (since it was turning right), her psychotic boyfriend opened the door as i came around the side. needless to say, i parked myself in front of the car, got out my pen, and got the make/model and plates. ARSF 132 can choke on a dick, i'm filing a report tomorrow.
it's one thing to accidentally almost door me, quite another to do it on purpose.

Wow, sorry about the copious ******baggery you're experiencing. Looks like you've taken over Shiznaz's role in the scheme of things....
