Hay computer and camera geeks: How can I get data off a camera? I don't have a cable and I thought I'd grab one at Active surplus only to discover it's some sort of proprietary plug
Is there any place that copies data from a memory card to a CD cheaply?

I use a memory card reader. Not only is it faster than the camera download interface, but it supports both of my memory cards (SD and CF). I can't find the exact one I have on there, but they all basically do the same thing. Just make sure it supports the card type you're using.

The dollar reached parity today. Crazy!!
Call me The Breeze
So are there renewed calls for a common currency?
Thanks for the tips on the card readers you guys. Cheaper than I thought it would be so it's feasible. Unless one of you wants to just buy my car and I can just forget about the whole picture thing!

WE bought my 14 year old one of those coloured Dells now that she's in high school. It's got a card reader in the front of it....slick.

haha. One of those cards holds more data than all of the computers in the school combined from when I went to high school! [/old man]

Did I ever tell you Keith's my heeeeroo,
Keith is the wind beneath my wiiiings.
uhh.. yeah. A nice lunchtime ride combined with a tasty espresso (from Bulldog) causes much wes-zaniness.

I think the GTA is sorely lacking a race series with as fine a credo as the Cyclocross Dress Race Series..

Also, now I'm back to work. I was waiting on feedback from a client.. Now I have a page of point-form changes to make. wahoo!

Man, I would like to go for a ride but I'm kind of afraid. I had another 0 mph fall-over yesterday when I pulled up to Queen Video on College and I couldn't get my feet out of the straps, which I apparently tightened WAY too much. I was excited about how comfortable my new GR-9s are, so I really yanked the straps.
So as much as I'd like to meet you guys I kind of want to wait until I have more confidence that I won't look like another n00b ****** on a fixed gear. Which is basically what I am, I guess.
Nerdsgirth: this is why I kind of dodged your invitation to ride up to York. We should do that sometime, though.

The Halloween Cross race always brings out the interesting race kit. They do races on both Sat and Sun. I think I am gonna bust out last years costume for the cross this year.

No, searching for "Halloween". I never have any good costume ideas, so I figure I'll rip off someone else's nice and early. Or at least, that's what I'm saying now. By the time Halloween rolls around I'm sure I'll be in the same costumeless boat I am every year.
