Lulz.
At $27 a pop for PR2's, I use nothing else. Not so great for flat protection though. Michelin recently came out with the P3's. They dropped the race from the name.
Just Pro3 now.

Bikes: Menonite black urbanite, probably enough spare parts to make anther one.
i don't know - using the term "race" in a tire usually mean to me that it will be fast but puncture-prone.
i should have prefaced my tire preferences by stating that i typically ride nothing narrower than 700x28.

This year's Eurobike show saw the official debut of Michelin's new Pro³ Race clincher road racing tire, whose new dual-compound tread is derived from the company's Moto GP division. According to Michelin, the new central tread delivers 20% more straight-line grip than the Pro² Race, while the new shoulder rubber offers a whopping 40% improvement. Michelin says the Moto GP compounds are also more readily deformable than before to help maintain grip on coarser pavement and reduce rolling resistance. For added security, the Pro³ Race casing gains a new High Density Puncture Protector (HDPP) nylon belt, yet total claimed weight is still highly competitive at just 200g for the 700x23c size.
Michelin will offer just the Pro³ Race for now, but the family will eventually include an even lighter Pro³ Light model as well as an even grippier Pro³ Grip. The Pro³ Race will be found on complete bikes beginning in October, but won't hit the aftermarket until March 2008.

And check out these uphill only tires.

Glad this guy's ok.. I was riding the Queen streetcar home last night and we were diverted up broadview/along gerrard/down coxwell. I figured there was a fire on queen.. but it turns out a cyclist was pinned under a streetcar. Some dumbass tried to door him.. he swerved, and I assume he went down on the tracks.

nothing wrong with it really other than it's way too small. i'd like to build a proper SS MTB and i can't seem to get that one working (ie - it seems the der hanger is stripped so i can't get a tensioner in there etc. i dunno, maybe i'll tinker with it next time i get a day off).
BTW - early congrats on the child-birthing and such. FWIW - refering to the wife as "shamu" in any context will resuly in weeks of sleeping on the hinterland of the sofa.

While you are choking down dry pancakes we will be revelling in the glory that is Cyclocross! May your syrup be Aunt Jemima and your blueberries be frozen!

Trust me, I'd rather be out racing than entertaining them, but given the circumstances I'll settle for eating pancakes and giving Mike a hard time.

I've got a copy of that movie... but it's in some weirdo computer geek format that I haven't figured out how to play yet.

hahahah.. yeah, they're leaving in the afternoon, which is why I'm squeaking in a ride after they're gone. And the syrup is real organic stuff and the blueberries are fresh. Both are sitting at home already, biznatch.

It was dandy (you heard me). We had a nice sprint up Fallingbrook and I got to watch Mark suffer his way up Brimley from Bluffer's Park.
Props to him for doing it on his fixie without taking a rest break. He's a better man than I! I'm kind of glad he didn't really hear my comment about wishing for an easier gear on my road bike.

The ride out there was great. Brimley is one fast hill, can't wait to bomb it in daylight now that I know it. The bluffs were dark, couldn't see much, but there were some crazed ducks that were thinking of putting flimflam and I out of the picture in order to feast on the Somnambulant.
Quote of the night, from some dude parked in the furthest corner of the parking lot " Who rides a bike at 9 at night" - Little does he know that parking with a girl in his teens will soon lead to him wanting to ride out into the night to get away every once in a while

Riding back up Brimley was tough but manageable 46-16, the others were riding circles around me with their gears
-no touching down. The ride back Kingston was amazingly fast and traffic was sparse -NICE! Along Queen we got hit with some smoke from the smouldering fire on the Danforth, but not for long. We blew by all the traffic coming out of the Leaffer's game. Got a veggie sammich at the new Ghazelles on College for $3.17 (awesome).Lets do it again.

OT:
Hey has anyone had experience getting a street parking permit for a house with a parking pad? The landlord is asking $100 bucks for the spot per month. Hellls no. But now as a result, I need to get a letter from the landlord saying that there isn't available parking for me, in order to get a permit. He might be a pain about it. Do I just lie and go to city hall and check off the boxes that say:
Do you have parking on your property -no
If yes do you have access to that parking -no
? please pm me.
Thanks,
