I have Rubinos in the 20s.....do they wear out fast as well? I didn't have any problems putting them on but they are pretty thin. Love 'em so far

i don't know about the narrower size; i used 23s becuase they were cheap and i wanted a good quality road tire. perhaps these were not made for all weather use by heavier riders. i'm probably close to 200lbs and carry a messenger bag full of stuff. those tires are probably made for racing or fast centuries. now i usually ride at least a 28.

Aaaw on your Lake Simcoe route map you stoped before the lake and looped back you did'nt even dip the tire in the lake?

woah. I feel accomplished as a stalker.

oh and pics of the marinoni tomorrow, huzzah.
got my algeo test to study for first.
which sexy man are you referring to? that's me grabbing ass on the sannino and it's my buddy's blog. he's down at digital domain in LA now but promises to be back for the ride for heart. a lesson i learned: it doesn't matter how early you wake up to ride, it's how late your riding buddies stayed up the previous night boozin'.
start hitting those algeo books!!

edit: is it just at my end or is bikeforums getting fubared... tons of "failed to open page" and timing out errors.... stupid computers......

i wish it was. i haven't had time for a lunch ride in ages. BUT, i biked up to the market last thursday at 3pm for a haircut. everyone check out shampoo.. relaxed place & nice people. i normally wear a purple zip-up over a red mec microfiber, blue helmet, white bike. you may have spotted my ninja clone. wait, that's impossible...
i'm totally up for burritos tomorrow (wednesday) at 1pm. meet at moonbean. i'm eugene btw. i'll try to scoff a few beers.. if the weather's nice, we can eat in the park.

I hate it when my ninja clone escapes.

HEY FLOATER....Three guesses as to who blew a cleat on the way home, first two don't count.
15 minutes before work this morning and I'm searching for the flats....damn...... almost crashed, twisting off a pedal and strap....d'oh! New shoe time!!!!

^^^bike swap.

My left cleat has been acting strange for the past few days.. requiring much more effort to twist out. Not sure if it's just wearing out or what. The (eggbeater) cleats are only like 6-8 weeks old, which seems somewhat premature... especially since I'm always clipping in and out on the right side, which seems to me like it would cause more wear.

I wish I could make it out for lunch tomorrow, but work's work.

- CM this Friday (I'll be late, but I'll be there)
- Excessive drinking post-CM

I'm down w/ some burrito action on Monday or Tuesday though ... I think that's my "weekend" for the next while.

- Mikhail, Lord of the Northlands

Edit: Man, it's the week for dying footwear. My pos trainers gave up the ghost three days after I threw some new cages on my pedals. The metal is a bit rough or sharp-ish I guess and frayed apart the stiching along the sides of both shoes. Fare thee well, Dunnits ... at least you were cheap.

word.

Anyone wanna meet up for coffee before CM? Of course, this is assuming it isn't pouring rain. I can deal with some light showers, but anything more than that sounds pretty miserable. The forecast is calling for showers right now, but who knows what we'll wind up with.

The ad claims that they don't contribute to urban congestion...cept that the trailer version is the length of a sedan and can't share a lane. The tri version is somewhat better.

I think that they meant to say they don't contribute to urban air pollution. Certainly they contribute to congestion if they weren't there before and are introduced, glad to see pics of people interacting on the sidewalk and no one trying to catch drivers eyes.

just went for a ride at lunch.. such a heart break to have to come back to lunch.

man.. I'm in love with the Linux Caffe. It's on Harbord & Grace and has been fueling me up with coffee a couple mornings a week for the past 6 months. Free WiFi with an Antenna pointed at the park across the street, which also happens to be my favorite park in the city. And when I was there chatting with the owner this morning he said they have lots of plans for events in the park this summer including guerilla theatre nights where they screen movies for free down in the park. Apparently they showed 1922 Nosferatu on 16mm down there at the end of the Summer last year. That kicks ass.

Plus they have really fine coffee from Ideal...

gorgeous day for riding outside. just got back from lunch with operator/rob. we had empanadas (only in kensington can you get a beef and kimchi empanadas) in the park. nice...back at work and i think rob's at mec and and giving uncle keith a visit later.
the linux cafe is great.. a bit too techy for me but i'm there for the awesome coffee. dig the view of the park from the front window.
