79 big ones at CT. Also, should I sand down to the pits, to remove them, or just remove existing rust and prime over the pits?

I've had "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia" stuck in my head for three days now. I'd post a YouTube clip but all I could find was the obnoxious "make the song into a mini-movie" video or crappy live footage.

Seriously though, don't trust your soul to some backwoods southern lawyer.

I mean it, the judge in the town has blood stains on his hands.

It's a good song, but it will forever remind me of awkward early teen slowdancing.

Why is it that when there's snow on the ground cars drive about 2' to the right? I was getting buzzed by cars in the center lane while riding in the middle of the curb lane on college. And these aren't cars that had been behind me and were swinging around, they were just driving in the center lane. Oy!

Oh well.. hopefully the sun will take care of the crud that's closer to the curb and in the bike lanes during the day today.

In my mind, the holder of that title is "November Rain" [no link for the good all people].

There's video of Skip James online?! Wow.

Crow Jane - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P0G_r8WLHxE
Devil Got My Woman - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JB2POWSnStU
I'm So Glad - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1UodvH6zFw

There's more to be found. They should show up in basic search results.

seriously. i've taken to making a "shooing" motion when i hear cars coming up behind me. i'm just worried i'll misjudge and get my arm broken off :(

whatever tires that brad put on my re-build seem to be working well though, haven't lost traction on the ice yet, although i have cut my speed by about 50%

That 'crete curve was the built for a car commercial in the middle of nowhere, skaters have been riding that thing forever. Nothing like monster vert to test your resolve. My feet were blissfully unaware of any cold this morning. Those eskimos are soo toasty.

MattRennick 11-23-07 09:20 AM

Well, how about that?

I_bRAD 11-23-07 09:27 AM

There's a doc in Boston that will take care of that for you.

I have no clue who you are in "real life", but I'm sure we've met at sprints or something. anyhoo, I just wanted to say that the deathwish vinyl downloads thing is teh awesome. :) (just got on your site via your sig)

Also file under awesome: the music mix I'm getting via last.fm this morning. Lots of music I listened to in the early/mid 90s, along with some wacky things like Billie Jean by MJ. Good times. :D

edit: YES. Now it's "Jailbreak" by Thin Lizzy. Gold! :P

Ha! Most definitely... I think I must have had the tube twisted or something and it finally gave out and blew the tire off the rim. I did mount the tire pretty hastily the other day trying to get out on the road in a hurry so it wouldn't suprise me... It gave my co-workers quite the fright this morning, though, when it blew out!

somnambulant 11-23-07 10:27 AM

It looks like either the bead wasn't properly seated in the rim or perhaps the tube was pinched between the tire and rim. I've had that happen a couple of times. Twice it happened in my office as well. I came back from lunch and as soon as I walked in someone said "you have a flat tire" and I asked how they knew... they just pointed. "oh". :)

Well, next time I come out to sprints I'll ask Matt if you're around. Then... IT'S ON! :P
