I_bRad, what was the name of that bushing company you gave me. I can't seem to find it and the only one I can find online quickly is McMaster-Carr which apparently no longer ships to Canada. I need to rebuild the Picnica's joints.
I'll also be pricing out some rechroming so I'll post what I find out in case there is a discount for a larger order and folks have bits they want chromed/rechromed. |

I would bet that there are a number of places that do it in Toronto, but apparentlly the labour going into something large like a frame is a lot of work, so it can be expensive. |
Speaking of Montreal, I really want to go back there sometime in the Summer with my bike. </Wintertime-daydreams>

Thanks to whoever recommended Mothers Dumplings a while back.. went there for the first time today. It's really good cold weather/warming up food, and it has a pretty low cost/volume of food ratio.

I will be in der Ossington/Dundas area around supper for daughter's choir recital. We'll be eating afterwards. I'll be riding there from work, while my wife and daughter will already be there. Any suggestions as to food-age around there? With cold the way it is, the the less traveling, the better. That said, Lakeview just might win.

If you can get up to College, Phil's original BBQ is pretty awesome.. the closest we get up here to real southern bbq.

Phil's is great food, and reasonably priced given the quality - best BBQ in the city I've found (barring backyard shenanigans). I've not eaten anywhere around that area other than Phil's, though. I've got to go up to Don Mills/Sheppard tonight... somewhat apprehensive of ice patches on Don Mills going through the valley... ought to be an interesting adventure at least! :) |

I've been meaning to go to Duff's for years (old location), and now they're even close to my place with that College St location and I *still* haven't gone. That's what happens when you live with a veggie. :P
|
^^^ you live with a carrot? Kids these days. http://app.toronto.ca/food2/index.jsp shame!
|
Duffs sucks, st. louis & chick'n deli are better IMO
|
I like the wings at The Duke of York or Shoeless Joes the best myself, but only on their wing-nights. I like Duffs because of the locale and the place isn't that gross....the Duke of York is kinda crappy unless you are on the patio and Shoeless Joes is a jock bar so yeah, it bites it. As long as Guiness is on draft, I am with my friends and it is wing-night, I can stomach it....
|
Betty's on King has pretty dandy hot wings too.
|
+1 on the st. louis' wings.
i've never eaten in that hood, except for at phil's. the guy has his own smoker in the back so it's the real deal. |
Yeah, St. Louis' wings are awesome, but it's not often that I'm up that way.
|
I forgot my ipod at home today and work sucked because of it. I can't count the number of times my hand automatically went to where my ipod normally is to turn it on. d-oh!
|
How about this Friday night for some single malt consumption?

alright, i suppose some of you work normal hours. if you're out at lunch and want some company let me know.
is cervelo making a track frame again? Yup Cervelo makes the P3C Track which is a Carbon Fibre frame. They don't make an aluminum track frame any more. It is a P3C Time trial frame with the same geometry but narrower rear spacing for track hubs (120) and longer track ends. Oh and no cable guides. It is pretty wild looking because of all of the aero-ness. It makes a pretty good pursuit or time trial bike because of it's similarity to the time trial frame. It handles a lot like a road bike too with a rise stem and drops, considering the geometry. It looks like this: http://images.competitivecyclist.com...track_main.jpg Oh and Cervelo is phasing out the Wolf forks. They are being replaced by 3T forks that are painted to match each respective model (white for the R3, black for the SL's, red for the P3C etc.). They look really nice. Actually there won't be anymore Easton forks either since we are dropping them completely. No more Easton wheels either. |
