Are there any issues with taking in back packs & water bottles? I forget from last time.

Man we are we getting hit hard here!

Yes, that happened to me but the guy was asking for a lot more money than I sold it for. Is that also the case here? $500 for that bike seems pretty high.

That is not a real Masi. It is a corporate, made in Taiwan generic bike, with a name that represents a long-gone era when high end racing bikes were built by hand by craftsmen. The original Masi is long gone.

That jersey on the other hand is top notch!

the masi frame looks a hell of a lot like the khs 100 up close. i'd imagine some factory in taiwan is making a tidy sum selling decals...

the only real deal i saw was a khs SS 29er for $350. otherwise it was all nike road shoes! nike, nike, nike!

oh yeah, wes i sat on your bike whilst naked. enjoy.

My first conversion - an old Bianchi Strada (exactly like the one Cam donated to my friend Jordan last year - thanks Cam!) went to a guy via craigslist at some point last year or the year before...

This summer, a guy from around here emailed me to ask for advice on off the shelf bikes and I sent him a list of stuff he could get but also told him to check out craigslist for suitable road frames... Sure enough, he ended up with my old Bianchi that the guy never ended up building up. Fortunately, he paid exactly what I sold it for which wasn't much...

I've enjoyed seeing a few things in person:
- Shimano XT 29er prototype wheels
- Alpha Q cyclocross fork
- SRAM Red group

The guys at Misfit Psycles had some great stories from the Trans Rockies. Phil picked up a frameset from them that should prove to be fun in the Don, etc. I made a promise to myself to put a bullet in the BMX announcer after the first time today that he says, "OH MY GOOOOOOSH!" so that should be good times.

Hey Wes, there it is. *fingercock*

somnambulant 03-09-08 08:19 AM

LOL... so many kids in tight white/grey jeans!

...there it is --->

And yeah, I had a good chat with Peter from Misfit Psycles too. Turns out he's going to the SSWCs as well. whoop! Maybe I should just build up one of their bikes.

i don't know how you could stand three days of that guy - he was getting on my nerves after two hours...

We made it out of the drive way & got stuck shortly after main roads were ok, got to the 401 & got off at the first exit really bad. If we could have left later i’m sure it would have been ok.

Oh well next year! But i’m coming for the The Cycle Messenger World Championships fo sho.

jeremywhitehorn 03-09-08 12:53 PM

you're right wes, now i want to move to portland. i've been browsing that "teams of portland" site for way too long now.

I hope some of you got the chance to ride today - its magnificent out there. This latest dumping of snow is disappearing faster than usual, so let's hope its the last heavy snowfall we get this winter.

Yessssss! I finally got my internet p.s. christening! Does my balaclava count?

I could only imagine how the guys working the booths are feeling right now. Way to go! Tirelessly striving to promote the bike. You rule.
