Donut ride is available Sunday still so no worries.

Edit: Got my campy brakes. For the price, I am highly unimpressed.

What bike did your friend buy?
Oh that's right! I remember reading about it but it had escaped my mind. I've been to bike specialities a few times. It's too bad it's closed, although unfortunately I never bought anything. This place is a real museum.

So my friend got this bike, a "Olympic 76" made by Antoine Polsinelli from Cycle Sports (same place?). Very light frame with unusual characteristics: french BB, oversize seatstays (??), long point lugs, curved seatstay bridge. No braze-ons (campy clips), and campy parts. There are some pics in the C&V section. Perhaps he can contact Mr. Barry... Thanks!

kergin - oof, sucks to see even those lever/hoods all scraped up, let alone the rim (wow) and your legs - take it easy and heal well for the upcoming season, hope everything goes well re: your claims/bike recovery/fix too.

Unlikely I'll be able to make that computrainer stuff this coming weekend, a donut ride might be a tight squeeze for Sunday too, but slim chance it's possible...

I also just realised my Rob Roy will be ready this week, schweet!

zipp, I swore I was following you tonight along Queen W until I got closer and realised it was just the same jacket . Good call on the summer stuff, I've now switched my gloves to a thin wool full finger layer (just for those windy moments, like today heading East!) and might even don the shorts tomorrow, it's getting to that crossover point for my bottom layering too for me.

Veloce yeah. I'm going to study steves record brakes and see if they really are any better or if they're just lighter. Otherwise i'm just going to take them off and sell em.

Love these shots of Devolder at the Tour of Flanders on Sunday... the spectators are awesome. The guy in red next to Devolder's head in the first pic kills me.

Anyone have links to a good cycling torrent tracker? It used to be that demonoid had most of the protour events.. but that's old history.

I'm hoping more events will move to live coverage.. it was awesome watching the last tour of california using that flash-based tracker..

if those are the marinoni straps that are made by salsa, don't expect them to last long, mine lasted maybe 2 months, and that is probably being generous

shoes: depends on your pedals, if you have more track type pedals like sylvan track's, you want a more solid sole, i like the adidas shelltoe ... if you have more of a platform like the gr-9, you can get away with something smaller like vans or pumas or whatever ... aslong the inside of the shoe doesn't have leather (makes your heel slip) you should be fine with whatever ... i find current running and true skate shoes too big for riding

Not exactly what you're looking for, but there are some live streams and news clips here:

https://freetube.110mb.com/
https://www.tvover.net/TVStation,direct,38.aspx

You can't watch a live stream of Eurosport UK, unfortunately, but if you use the app to choose cycling there are lots of recent highlight reels/etc.

theyre prolly the salsa ones, ive been on them a few rides now and one side is already beginning split on one of them...

plus they were somewhere around twenty bucks.

i believe they call them "eggbeaters"? teeny quill pedals. ima run them with my chucks and see how i feels. btw if you see me on this bike, im new to clips, dont laugh as i fall over in front of you surrepitously.

i was going to say that chuck fits nicely into toe clips but you knew that already. i was in "groovy" on queen and they had for sale a pair of addidas "cyclo-tourist" sneakers (complete with the stick man cycling graphic on the sole) - flat sole lace up sneaker designed for clips and straps apparently. i'm still kicking myself for not buying them.
