Training rides sound fun. We can either make up our own, or we can hit the donut ride.
If you guys want to be doing like 90k - 150k a day, we can ride up to Richmond Hill and go north/east/west from there. There are some nice looking (but peel your eyes out boring type after 2 hours type riding here).

yup it's still accessable from the pillar, you can ride right in there but someone has been in there.
Still all sorts of crap lying around there, possibly a pre-liability cover our asses move? That way if someones in there they did it the hard way. As it is we just went down the staircase from the school. Definately a night time hangout back there.

I had a great long weekend, but I'm super crusty this morning. Mondays are bad enough. Mondays after long weekends are worse. Mondays after long weekends when you've already filed your letter of resignation and you're basically just running out the clock sanity-wise (but are buried under and even bigger pile of work) are torture.

Being an arts school I'd be very surprised to see students on it, and it's a bit late in the school year to be doing that, too much garbage all over the place as well. Unless they are going to get it ready for SEpt.
While riding 'round back of the school, they have a pool in there too! Arts students getting a pool and a tracked school? Someone was asleep when they were reconfiguring the district.

Interesting; I did not know it was an arts school but I certainly had my suspicions… I ride past Castle Frank station every morning right around 8:30, my guess is about %75 of the kids crossing the street are dressed in 'goth' attire… (I went to an arts school…. I know the signs).
Disappointing about the track on Bayview.
But you guys are interested East York Collegiate (Cosburne and Coxwell) has a proper asphalt oval track with painted lines and everything. It is also partially lit from the street lights at night, as far as I know anyone can use it anytime… it is always in use during daylight hours whenever I ride by… weekdays or weekends it get's a lot of use as the infield is also a soccer/football field. I've ripped around it by myself at nights when I'm riding home after being at a bar or something… for some reason I always end up doing a lap or two when drunk.
It's pretty clean though, fresh cut grass, no garbage... it doesn't have quite that ghetto feel like something you could call your own ya know?!

has potential for a hardtop drag strip
was kinda hoping the other one would lend itself to being , um..... groomed for jumps(sweet ones) and other obstacles as it were, but it looks like somebody doesn't want that to happen.

yeah, I think you guys are talking about two very different types of track.
traffic jammer: have you ever been down to the dirt jumps down in the Don Valley? I saw them for the first time on st. paddy's day while a friend and I were hiking around (aka. filling our shoes with mud) down there. They're in pretty bad shape right now obviously after going through a winter.

No i haven't been to the Don jumps...
though I would be suspect of anything Dirt jumpish that locals built..... launching into trees sounds par for the course. I was looking more for some speedy air, nothing sick and vertical. Woop-di-doos maybe a lap bump, nothing sick that could kill. I'm far too old for that action.....lol
What attention would beers and/or blunts and a bunch of jackasses on bikes get in the night at the nice track?

now you're just being paranoid......
I can hardly see a six pack session leading to prison, unless of course you can't handle the drink and you pee into the window of a police car at a light of something, then you're Turkish Delight.

With the new lock we either have up the stairs or onto bayview..... so not a good scatter spot but it is hard to get to as well so either way there. I imagine the police have much nastier bidness about. Anyone familiar with crew tags around the city? Might wanna see if we might be biting off some trouble at the dirt track. At night, it could be a completely different place, as it's literally nowhere. I'd be more worried about other night life around there, no problemo during the day though.
The other one is lit too no?
