Then again, I stopped to say hi to Kaibot at La Carrera on the way home and he was taking a customer's bike out for a test ride. No brakes.. no straps..

Even 4-gate straps aren't gonna help you stop if you drop a chain.

Ummmm, I think y'all really need to get off your high horses/take a serious reality check. This to me really seems akin to saying "Driving drunk is cool if you know what you're doing......but driving drunk without a seatbelt......that's just suicide."

ps. you better have that niner/kona/fisher information for me, or you and me, we're gonna have a fight. Today. After school. Three o'clock. In the parking lot. You try and run, I'm gonna track you down. You go to a teacher, it's only gonna get worse. You sneak home, I'm gonna be under your bed.
pps. I run a brake.. no high horse for me. In fact, I haven't even been on a fixie in at least a month.

Score of the Day.
A customer comes in today with a black/yellow Rossin like wil/chris have. Wants to buy a nice clincher wheelset for it as he doesn't want to ride the tubulars that came with it. I show him a few sets and he settles on a new set of American Classics. I get his deets to do the swap for him...ask him if he would like the cog removed from the existing wheels and transfered to his new pair. he tells me that yes...he wants to keep the cog but the wheels he has no further use for. I proceed to tell the guy they are very nice wheels and he should keep them should he want to ride at London. he is insistent that he doesn't want them and that i should "Find them a good home" They have found a good home. Vintage Mavic track hubs laced with Asahi butted spokes to gold anodized Mavic Record du Monde de L'Heure rims. 28 hole with Vittoria Corsa EVO tubs.
SCORE!!!!!

I get to wear my helmet cam strapped to me head in the most dorkiest of fashions, while doing whatever it is they ask me to do at the races tomorrow. Hoping to get some nifty footage, for the shame I must endure for having this thing strapped to my forehead. norainnorainnorainnorain......

Just a reminder that the criterium is happening tonight at the St. Lawrence Market.
Here's a course map:
The pro/elite race starts at 7:30pm (masters at 6:00pm) ... anyone want to figure out a good lock-up/meet-up/check-out the action spot? I'll be at work until 6 but I'm up for meeting people if that's the plan.
PS. Doing a 1350 frame rotoscoped timeline animation in Flash chews. This **** had better look as though it were detached from the chain it was previously restrained by when I'm done with it.

I'm gonna guess that the Scott St section is going to be cool, simply because it's downhill with a sharp corner at the bottom.

do crits always run counter clock wise?. if so I wonder are they closing the north portion of front street or is the right hand corner onto there from Market going to split the pack... carnage may ensue.

"Reasonable."
That one word is like a bullet through the heart of this piece of legislation.
