hm, I saw something or other about evacuating the area immediately, but marvelling at Yao Mings sheer size on the court was far more interesting. see pyze, you shouldnt feel bad, you only blew up a bbq.

I got mad today and made my rig into a singlespeed. I had a dream that involved (among many other things) Wolverine riding off into the night on a miniature penny-farthing with full touring panniers. I thought it was an omen. In dismantling my rig I have realised its time for a new trail bike.

This is going to be an expensive year.

Yokozuna are distributed by the same company that does Soma stuff. Any shop that does Soma could get you some.

The O-Cup at Buckwallow was fantastic. Completely soaked and muddy from 3 days rain but the sun shone almost all day. I am glad I didn't camp out as there were many miserable reports from that. All time high S.S. class with 23 starters. I finished a craptacular 21st...out of the points for the first time this year....but man what a great day of muddy hammering.

That was me hollering "hey" to you yesterday in MEC, Stuart - I probably should've come over and introduced myself but I just wanted to get my cleaner stuff and go home and dry off heh. Sorry. However the cashier that served me (Angela?) was particularly attractive, which was nice.

does anyone have a flat, painless route to get to eglinton/dvp? i took a new job there and i hate taking train-transfer-train-bus-walk to toronto's outer wasteland. it takes an hour. it can't possibly take an hour to ride there, could it?

looking presentable with minimum sweat would be nice.

thanks!

If anyone's looking for some new wheels, here's a pretty good deal on Craigslist.

From where? I regularly go to Eg/DVP from both east side (Whitby) and my place (Parkdale). From home, I take College/Carlton over to Parliament, upto Bloor, to Broadview, to O'Connor over to Bermondsey and cut through to Eglinton that way - Bermondsey is terrible in places road surface wise, but there's minimal hills. From Whitby I take Kingston Road back into town to either Lawrence and wind through (last time I went right across to Pharmacy then south to Eg) or just Kingston Road to Eglinton then right over. Like Kingston Road, Eglinton has the rollers, as does Lawrence in places - the worst being the bridges over the RT, but they're not /too/ bad.

There's a ton of work going on on Warden, so I'd avoid that for the time being.

Cooler weather right now = less sweaty, I guess but that's about all I have.

Until the snow flies, you could ride right up the don recreational trail and then across eglinton.

I think that's a given at any place, some more so than others. Especially MEC.

take the danforth, go north on donlands, merge into millwood, right on overlea, left on donmills ... you're at don mills and eglinton which is really close to the dvp without having to do the eglinton death dip

That's what I was thinking. Oh man... if only I had a mtb ride along my commute! Not that you'd have to ride offroad, but you know, I'm just sayin' is alls.

Hey guys, does anyone know where I can rent a tandem bike? Or does anyone on the board have one I can rent?
I don't have a car but still want to pick someone up on a date... I thought it might be fun.

Thats the route I use. In the morning/afternoon the bus/taxi/bikelanes are nice and keep the majority of the traffic away from you.
