Stupid idea: what about the little thing you thread onto the valve stem? Those get loose and rattle!

Dude. Scared of a 24hr race? Those things are The Best Way to get going with racing! And you really don't need to worry about 'results' on the slow 'n' fun team. DooOooooOOOOooo IiiIiiiIIT! That was my first mtb race in 12 years, last year, and I didn't know anybody on the team besides Keith.

in copenhagen.

seen 3 fixed gear bikes so far.
but i cant even count the amount of amazing bikes i've seen.

i really want on of those bikes with the box on the front for kids/groceries/dogs
but there's no way i'll ever afford the one at curbside.

just picked up a brochure for the local microbreweries

how excited am i for this?

"located in Carlsberg Brewery's Visitor Centre, the Jacobsen Home Brew House, named after the 19th century Carlsberg founder, caters in unique and specialty beers aimed at beer connoisseurs, a window for Carlsberg's beer culture and brewing craftsmanship. Among the real ales brewed here are Jacobsen Bramley Wit, Jacobsen Brown Ale, Jacobsen Original Dark Lager & Jacobsen Saaz Blonde, along with Carlsberg's established hand-tapped and manually labelled Semper Ardens Winter Rye, First Gold IPA, Abbey Ale and Criollo Stout. An Exciting newcomer to the range is a Nordic beer - Jacobsen Saison - rich in aroma."

i've always wondered what it'd be like to live in vancouver. fack!! i just got fitted for a tux soaking wet. the irony is my next stop was MEC for some new rain gear for work. didn't end up going.

silver lining: wet t-shirts

the new Quest For Fire album is so good. go buy it.

i came this close to getting a brand new Dahon hon solo folding bike from a shoot for super cheap ($250) but one of the art department guys returned it wooden fenders and chain guard, honey brooks b17 special, a hand pump built in to the seatpost!!!! so awesome. fixed/free flip flop hub. i still want it but i think it retails for around $1000

Wes, the presta rings? Nah, don't use em. This thing is inside the rim walls, whatever it is. I'll get some more rimtape and hack this stuff off and take a looksee if I get chance to get to a store. I'm not sure what 'eyelets' could be, heh - I'll just have to wait to get it checked out.

the eyelets are the little rings around the holes that the spoke nipples screw in to. some higher quality rims have eyeleted holes to reinforce them and prevent the spoke from coming loose, etc. which rims are you running again?

If anyone here is missing some of the track cycling events, CBC seems to posting some of the events Online. So far, its only the Team Sprint but I think there are more events scheduled for tomorrow night. Also, highlights of the road races are posted as well.

It was the whole "hey, we need one more person for your 10 man fast team." Maybe if somebody was bumped from the "offroad recumbent" team up to the fast team and then I'd be able to fill the spot w/ the other slow people Then maybe I'd feel differently about it. I'm all about going out, riding my own race and having a fun time but I don't want to **** up the results for nine other competitive people.

Anyway, enougha about my mountainous levels of self-esteem. Don ride at 9am - **** the weather and let's get out there! Meet up at the Pottery Road trailhead.

Mavic CXP22s - I'm going to try the boot today and see how it goes, I might have chance this morning to get some rimtape on the way to work.

Cheers!
