Unlikely he gets a Jones on an "impulse buy"...don't they have like a 6 year waiting list or something ludicrous like that? 29er's are the utilitarian bomb. I am setting up my "beater" Kula fixed w/ fenders and my old Schwalbe Little Alberts. Sliding dropouts rock!

Also I will be sorely disappointed if a couple of you B.F. kids don't make it out to Cedarvale tomorrow....it's Bathurst and St. Clair doggoneit.

I'm thinking of doing a ride into Hamilton on Monday, riding down on the waterfront trail. But I had also hoped to ride up the 'mountain' one time this year. Does anyone know a route from down by the lake to a reasonable road (not too many cars) that I can do the climb?

Just got back into town so missed the CX, won't be able to make next weekend either as my parents are still around until Saturday evening (unless you plan on Sunday )

Fall colours in full effect, went to Ottawa on Hwy7 and looked very nice with its calendar-ific scenery.

Montreal was lovely, my folks didn't take to it much but I enjoyed it a great deal. Gave me an instant difference in feeling (Ottawa feels different than Toronto, Montreal feels WAY different than anywhere I've been over here so far). Reminded me in places of the towns/cities in the UK.

*Really* want to ride out that way, riding up Mont Royal looks like one hell of a climb

I was at Cogs on Gerard today and they have a used, older Norco 'girls' mtb for $80. Looked to about 14inches, in decent shape and good for a winter beater/commuter. A nice doublebubble pink as well.

Nice ride with my gf in the Pickering-Whitby-Oshawa region. Lovely day. We unexpectedly came across a beautiful MTB trail. Boy do I have poor handling skills

Hey Flimflam did you ride up the Camillien-Houde? Man that one is brutal.

I would love to, but agreed to work 2 jobs that day. For the best I guess as I don't think the wife would tolerate a 6th bike even if one of them is hers'.

the past couple of years we've all met up in the line up before the bike show, but we haven't made a good plan to meet up *after* for show & tell...

I didn't take my bike this time, but was my first time visiting. Next time I'd really like to take my bike there though

I'm going to try and make it to the bike show, but my folks fly out that night so I don't know how pressed for time I'll be.

~18" ... I'm looking for a decent rigid steel frame if possible. If it's "road" bike then something with a 54/55cm top tube and a long-ass head tube would be rad.
