It looks like I'm gonna need to head down to Parts Unknown for what is, to this point, an elusive 25.6 seatpost. So far what has turned up is a mixed bag of suspension, setback, and simply expensive ones, or the undesired pole type. Normally I like the hunt, but there's too much on the list right now to joyfully obsess over each part. (resisting the urge to say "I'll keep you posted").........damn!!!

Joe, if you spot any aero posts (ie. Campy or a knock-off ... old aluminum style) please let me know. I need a 26.8 post and I've been having a hard time finding one too.

If you can't find one, you can always take 0.2 mm off of a 25.8 mm post with sand paper. It takes about 20 minutes of ************, but it works.

^^^That's hot.
I just saw a red KHS aero track (forward-sloping top tube) leaned up against the patio-fence, unlocked at the Lettieri in Yorkville. Gah! So purty.
I was trying to "spot the bike nerd" while I was waiting for my espresso, but everyone just looked typically Yorkville.

I think i'd get tired. Don't think I can make it for the memorial.
Inspected my rear tire yesterday and there was a big bulge in the sidewall. The wirebead was ripping out of the tire.
Still waiting on my cassette (somnambulant how long did it take to get your order? Shipping to destination minus the pickup duration).

It's not 26.8 that I'm having trouble with, it's the old aero design (which I think is pretty much the nicest seat post design ever).

Bikes are allowed on the TTC after 6:30 (ie. non peak hours).

to all you mess bag connoisseurs:
I'm in the market for a daily/commuter (or large enough so I don't regret) bag.
So what things should I look for in a bag and any tips, good brands?

Yall are good to go to that late memorial ride, I went on the one early this morning but I can't quit working to go to...well I guess it's already going on. Hope there's a big turnout, bout a hundred plus were at the memorial on Ave, half that many were on the ride there.

2) UTW FTW!
The problem with a big bag is you regret it when you aren't carrying full capacity and the problem with a small bag is that you regret it when you can't carry as much.
