I did the same thing this morning turning left from bathurst onto adelaide. Except the streetcar tracks were wet and I started fishtailing all over the place while trying to turn 90 degrees and cars were rushing to get through the advance green all around me. I think the only reason I didn't go down was because I knew a car would steam-roll me if I did!
ps. no harm done on the shiz, as long as I get to keep "THATS MY MAMA!"

Speaking of Scandihoovia, I love the picture of Sweden's King Carl Gustaf on his wikipedia node... Just scroll down 3/4 of the way to the "Royal duties and personal interests" section to see the one I mean.
He seems like such a fictional playboy type character.. eg:

He looks like Johnny Depp in Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas or something.

I loved the rain this morning for my commute. Nice on my sandalled toes. I swear I'm faster when it's raining.

Seriously though, I always thought it was just my mind playing tricks on me, because of the longer stopping distance with wet rims. It was a refreshing rain though.
