Does anyone know if those BOB trailers need to use any sort of frame-mounts to attach to the bike? Or do they just attach via the dropouts/axel/whatever (that's how it appears from the small pictures on the site).... also would one of these be recommended or not versus a standard two-wheel trailer setup?

man.. the area of Hoskin in front of the Phys Ed building on UofT campus is a ****ing deathtrap this time of the year. There's a kid's camp that happens there so in the morning going through that 150' section is like having 10 cabs dive in front of you, but it's all parents dropping off their brats. This morning 3 cars dove in front of me and parked in the bike lane, and there were enough parking spots for probably 4-5 cars right in front of the building. I had one Cadillac park (again, full taxi-style) directly next to a parking spot that was long enough to even pull in head-on.
And I totally came -> <- close to getting right-hooked by a cab turning onto your street, Shiznaz. :P I like to complain. That is all, go about your business. :) |
Can I get some context for that shot of Mitch/Keith, 'cause it really looks like you two are just cuddling.
"I don't know what it is, Keith ... but when I'm in your arms like this, I just feel safe." "Shh, my princess. Just hold hold me." *music swells* |

Speaking of cyclists *****ing to other cyclists... my biggest annoyance is cyclists who constantly pull around and stop ahead of me at intersections. I had two guys do it multiple times to me yesterday on my way home. Each time I had to "dangerously" pass them in the intersection when the light turned green because they were so much slower than I am. I line-up at lights at the back of the line, and I know I'm going to be riding faster than 95% of people on the road... why can't these ******s? And the other side of the coin: I've passed you like 6 times, I'm quite obviously riding faster. It's a balancing act between wanting to say something and also not wanting to be "that guy". Or am I just being too sensitive? :P |

Gah! I should've taken eyefloater's offer of handlebars and a front fender... I brought my bike to the long-time shop i've been dealing with in Newmarket last Thursday and they just get around to looking at it today (It was supposed to be fixed by yesterday)! Anyways, I mentioned that I needed a new b/b when I dropped it off, but one wasn't ordered until they phoned me this afternoon telling me I needed a new one. So, now I have to wait 5 business days for it to ship...argh!

1. Left foot forward wheel turned to the left. 2. Left foot forward wheel turned to the right (away from your foot). 3. Right foot forward wheel turned to the right. 4. Right foot forward wheel turned to the left. First try riding backwards, do it in the same manner as you would to start a backwards circle. Once you get to the 12 o'clock position (a bit passed) turn your handle bars the opposite way, you will be shifting your weight around a lot and it feels akward. You will want to turn the handle bars sooner than you should, wait until you almost loose your balance before turnig them the other way (definitely easier and you will feel more confident doing on platform pedals) So pretty much you will be riding backwards swearving back and forth. The most I have done was one and a half or two pedal revolutions so four changes in direction, I haven't tried doing it for a while though. |
