So if I have a 120mm hub respaced to 126 I can just throw on a 110bb with the crank for a 42mm chainline and it should line up perfectly ? I don't get the 103mm bb.

What do you guys think about suzue rear hubs? Formulas? Surlys?

Cavernmech do you have 110mm bb's/dura ace 1/8 16t cog in stock?

I seek solace in the fact that the big fat cab driver is about 2 days away from a massive coronary.

If that is the ziggy cross then no. I believe my first event will be the Valley cross in Hamilton....that one was awesome last year. Too many Mtn bikers at the Ziggy.

I'd like to do a few cross races this year, any suggestions as to what would be a good venue?

somnambulant 09-20-06 07:39 AM

Speaking of which, I have full intention to do some mtn bike enduro races next year... team toronto bike forums? ;)

Dig it. What's an enduro race?

Valley Park cross in Hamilton is a good one....good course. Durham is good. Speed River at Kelso is really good...2 days...prizes for best costume. Aurora is a great course but is also pretty demanding technically. Hardwood is my least favorite. The course at the Provs at Centennial is designed by a masochist. There are a couple of new ones this year I am not familiar with. I plan to do pretty much all of em.

Also makes you look like the perp to any passing enforcement officers, and much easier to shoot. Terror/home invasion wear is a heat score waiting to happen. Wearing a suit would make you blend in more likely in an urban setting, and no bike thief would give you a second glance... A word of caution though, the streets are mucho rougher than they used to be.... just sayin' ..if your gonna get ready to confront thieves and scum, be prepared for weapons.

I put 62.4 km/hr on my computer heading down Greenwood last evening. Keith, you feeling better? Thanks for the disk holmes...Ciara is thrilled.

When's the first one? I'm kind of excited to try it out. Do I need a license to race these?

I almost hope never to reach my top road bike speed ever again (95km/hr) as it was one of the scariest, most thrilling, white knuckle rides of my life. Keith is battling the dreaded cold. He gave my daughter one of his old disk golf disks.

The first one is the Ziggy. It is kind of hectic as they run a few citizen mtn races on the same course...it gets chewed up pretty bad. I would suggest Valley Park for yer first one. There arent a ton of gut wrenching run-ups but the course is still fairly challenging. You can do the whole cross season with a citizen permit....they run about $40 if memory serves. You can pick one up at any cross event. Get there a little early if you need to do this so yer not panicked with the time factor. I always go early as I race in the first heat...Master B in the house! Let me know if you want to come along....I should have space in the van.

That would be amazing. I can help with gas, beer etc. You in the shop this weekend at all, or evenings? I'd like to order that IRO frame. Must build bike.....
