Shizy ...has he discovered he works beside a sociopath yet? :p Yeah, a couple weeks ago I saw him on a crosswalk so I decided to SNATCH the right of way, dialed it up to 400 watts, blew through 6 red lights and aimed right for him intent to collide with him and maim him and his family in a violent fit of narcissism (I of course would be fine). ...Well... he wasn't actually there, and I only ran a rolled a stop sign at 1am on Roxton, but he theoretically could have been there, so I'm still a sociopath. http://www.forbesbookclub.com/bookim...0740726633.gif |

http://www.vintagevelos.com/Coppibike.html From the advertisement for Coppi or so the legend goes. Ciocc uses four aces from each suit in the headbadge which was why the arrangement in the ring made me think Ciocc. |
Damnit! My cycling jacket is 2 years old now and has been falling to pieces for about 2 years, but it still worked admirably as a jacket. Just recently the zipper started to give and I decided to get one of those MEC hydrocycle jackets or whatever once they came out. But riding home from work today I sit up on the bike to undo the zip a bit (I was getting hot) and the zipper just explodes in half and lands on front street. I didn't bother to go back and comb the street because the traffic was crazy.
So now what the hell do I do with a bike jacket that won't close? If only the chinese factories didn't mess up the MEC jacket order! |
You can a new zipper put in for a few bucks...or go to the sale tomorrow!!!!!!!
|
I hope there will be some quality cool weather jackets at the show for a good price
Edit: some Delinquent Habits just started playing on my comp, pretty sweet music |
One would hope, but somehow I'll not be holding my breath.
|
Looking at the construction of this jacket it would be pretty labour intensive and difficult to replace the zipper...
I know! I'll just use safety pins (safety first!) or carry a roll of duct tape and put a line down my sternum every time I go outside |
 A ghetto sociopathic McGyver, you're my hero!!!
|
Opinions on this? http://toronto.craigslist.org/bik/223478369.html I'm definately thinking about picking it up so umm dibs and such.
|
Well, I am now the proud owner of a filthy pullover bike jacket with duct tape accents.
Edit: You're THAT small offhoff? I didn't get that impression when we've met... My first impression is its hot... 500 bucks, no info except for what you can read on the seat tube. I dunno, sounds fishy. I guess its just probably some rick weekend warrior or something who got bored with his toy. |
I dunno, I've never dealt with fitting myself to a bike at the level of a cervelo I e-mailed the seller to take it for a test ride, I suppose I'll find out then.

Anyone going to the bike swap?
I'm thinking about getting rid of some "extra" things. Like 5$ here 20$ there. frames and such. If anyone else is interested, we could cart a whole wagon down. Convoy teamsters and ish. I know ya'll people are bike horders. :D cavernmech, mind if I use the trailer again? This time it'll be communal. |
